Study Of The Willingness Of The University Students In Confucius Institute To Study In China

Receiving and cultivating foreign students has always been an important task in the development of China's education internationalization.In recent years,the development of the foreign students in China has attracted more and more attention,and various policies of education opening to the outside world have further pointed out the development requirements of the enrollment number and training quality of Chinese foreign students in China.As a Chinese language training institution established by China overseas,Confucius institutes are mainly targeted at university students.Compared with ordinary Chinese language majors,college students in Confucius institutes are more motivated to learn Chinese and receive more professional language training.Therefore,if their willingness to study in China can be enhanced,it will not only increase the number of overseas students in China and promote the development of China's education internationalization,but also improve the quality of the source of overseas students in China.Based on the theories of international student mobility and the particularity of the environment in which Confucius institute students are studying,the questionnaire is compiled in this paper.Taking the students of Confucius institutes as the research object and the students from Confucius institutes in different regions as the research subjects,the questionnaire survey and empirical study were conducted on their intention to study in China.This paper conducts a classified study on the willingness of Confucius institute students to study in China,and analyzes the positive factors influencing the willingness of the subjects who have a clear intention to study in China.For those who do not have or are not clear about whether they have the intention to study in China,the restrictive factors are analyzed,and the target groups whose intention may be improved are screened based on their Chinese learning motivation,and the factors that make them want to improve are investigated.The research proves that the number of students who have the intention to study in China is dominant among the current college students of Confucius institutes.Students from Confucius institutes in their sophomore and junior years have relatively strong willingness to study in China.China's economic strength and future development prospects are important factors influencing the choice of Confucius institute students to study in China.The ability of foreign students to have good career development in China is the key factor to enhance their willingness to study abroad;Appropriate financial support for living and studying,targeted courses and cooperation between universities will help to improve the will of target groups.Finally,this paper summarizes the research results and puts forward Suggestions on how to improve the willingness of Confucius institute students to study in China from three aspects: Confucius institutes,Chinese universities and countries.
