Interpretation Of Inscriptions On Some Newly-discovered Bells

It is undoubtedly one of the most basic and important tasks in the study of ancient writing materials.The correctness of interpretation results will directly affect the quality of research in related fields using these materials.Collective interpretation is a collection of relevant research results.It is not only a review and summary of the existing research results,but also a reliable premise for the study of relevant systems and text ontology.Based on Mr.Wu Zhenfeng's Bronze Inscriptions and Image Integration of Shang and Zhou Dynasties(??????????????)(Volume 35),619 bronze instruments with inscriptions of Shang and Zhou Dynasties were collected.But including bronze instruments from the tomb of Marquis of Zeng and those not recorded in Jinwen Integration of Yin and Zhou Dynasties(????????),188 pieces were excluded.In this paper,more than 40 musical instruments,including the Zi Fan chime(????),the Rong Sheng chime(????),the Jin Hou Su chime(????),the Ying Hou Jian Gong chime(??????),the Chu Gong Ni chime(????)and the Zeng Hou Yu Zhong(???),have been selected to collect and interpret the textual research results.On the basis of extensive reference to scholars'research results,the inscription words and contents are sorted out.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,collection interpretation,and reference.First,the introduction is a brief review of previous annotations of the inscriptions of chime and bo;second,the annotations of the inscriptions are the main part of this paper,mainly on the contents of the inscriptions;third,the references,sorted according to the contents of the annotations.Absorbing fully the explanations and achievements of musical instruments in recent years,and on this basis,striving to join our explanations of some difficult words in the inscriptions of chime and bo.The aim of collecting the latest research results of academic circles as far as possible is to make the interpretation of inscriptions more accurate and to facilitate the research of related disciplines.
