| Compilation Catalogue of Shang Zhou Bronzes and its inscriptions(Wu Zhenfeng,Shanghai Classics Publishing House,2012)is a book including collections of bronzes with inscriptions from Shang and Zhou Dynasties handed down and unearthed.It is considered as the most important book after the book Yin Zhou Jin Wen Ji Cheng(CASS,1984-1911)was published.The number of objects included in this set of books is16703.And Compilation Catalogue of Shang Zhou Bronzes and its inscriptions collects images and inscriptions in content,and it divides objects to different parts according to their types and give every object a number.Regrettably,there are lots of mistakes and duplicate information in it,so that scholars may feel inconvenient when using it.In view of this,this paper provides a revision and supplement of image and information in the book Compilation Catalogue of Shang Zhou Bronzes and its inscriptions on base of existing bibliography,bronze inscription database,museum websites and etc.Through these above measures,we can ensure the accuracy of this book as a raw material reference book as much as possible.Therefore scholars can get more detailed and accurate information when they are doing related research,and the research results will also be more accurate.Thus the revision and supplement work is an important part.This paper continues the work of Sui Lun,Ma Lizhi and Jiang Hui,mainly focuses on revision and supplement work of volume 27 to volume35 of Compilation Catalogue of Shang Zhou Bronzes and its inscriptions.These volumes contain bronze instruments,weapons,and various utensils.This paper is divided into three parts: preface,revision and supplement,appendix.The preface mainly tells the research scope,current research situation and background,and significance and shortcomings.Revision and supplement is the main body of the thesis,it targets on the image and other information in volume 27 to volume35.The appendix includes added image in every volume,supplemental image table,abbreviation comparison table of bibliography reference and table of suspicious objects. |
