| In the translation process of literature,the linguistic forms and culture of the source language and that of the target language should be stressed.Due to the inevitability of translation loss,translation compensation should be used to make up for such loss during the process,aiming to ensure the linguistic and cultural equivalence between the source language and target language.Based on the English-Chinese translation practice of the novel The Pure Gold Baby,this dissertation aims to analyze this work with the guidance of the theories of translation compensation as well as the characteristics of literature translation,exploring the application of compensation theories from the perspectives of linguistic,culture and aesthetic. |
