With the "Chinese fever" sweeping the world in recent years, more and more American students choose to come to China to learn Chinese and Chinese culture. The surge of the number and scale of American overseas students puts forward new requirements and challenges to the intercultural communication ability of TCFL teachers, thus making Chinese literature,an influential cultural carrier, play a more important role. The Joy Luck Club, written by Chinese American female writer Amy Tan based on her own cultural dual identity and her mother's unique time experience,is unique and has a profound influence. It shows the conflict and agitation between Chinese and American cultures vividly, and provides us with excellent materials for the study of cross-cultural communication. The introduction of this paper briefly introduces the creation background, research status at home and abroad, purpose and content of the paper, and analyzes the important concepts of culture and communication,cross-cultural communication and cultural conflict.Chapter two summarizes and analyzes the conflict between the two most representative characters in The Joy Luck Club from three perspectives: the relationship between mother and daughter, the relationship between husband and wife, and the relationship between friends. The third chapter will explain the reasons of these conflicts by combining Hall's high-low context theory and Hofstede's cultural dimension theory in the theory of intercultural communication, and make appropriate supplements by combining the deep structure of culture. The fourth chapter refers to the enlightenment of interpersonal conflicts in The Joy Luck Club and the author's personal experience of Chinese teaching for overseas students in the United States.,the author puts forward the strategies of cross-cultural communication between China and the United States from the perspective of Chinese teachers,so as to provide reference for more foreign Chinese teachers who are trapped in the confusion of cross-cultural communication between China and the United States.
