“Affect” is an important concept put forward by Deleuze,which connects all the opinions of Deleuze and becomes the theoretical source of the “affective turn” trend in Western educational circles.Therefore,it is particularly important to analyze the discussion of “affect” in Deleuze's works,which will help us better understand the“affective turn” and explain the current social changes and cultural representations.Deleuze paid attention to “affect” in his early stage of philosophical history research.Spinoza's concept of “affect”,Hume's doubts about the tradition of philosophical rationalism,Kant's “free consistency” in aesthetic emotion,Nietzsche's will to power,and Bergson's “duration” theory are all integrated into Deleuze's philosophical thoughts,forming his affect theory.Basically,Deleuze's emphasis on“emotion” is rooted in his own resistance to philosophical rationalism.Besides,Deleuze's “affect” denies the “dominated subject” in his contemporary structuralism theory and Foucault.Meanwhile,he dissolved the negative emotion of “fear” in Heidegger's thoughts on being.Deleuze's “affect” benefited from the emergence of the concept of “open system” in the contemporary natural science theory.The renewal of the capitalist development model further contributed to his thoughts on the “affect”in the social mechanism.By comparing Deleuze's use of “affect” and the translation in relevant domestic research,this paper finally selects the translation of “affect” into “Qingdong” and then clarifies the main connotation of “affect” in the analysis of the concepts of “affect”and “affection”,and “affect” and “desire”.Simply put,affect is the change of time and space on the basis of the situation,and it is also a further grasp of various relationships on the basis of the situation.While affect is the ability and desire is the will,affect is always accompanied by desire in the process of movement,but it has more consciousness and directivity than desire.Deleuze's key statement about affect is “Affects are becomings”.Starting from this statement,Deleuze clarifies the physical and mental relationship involved in the affect.He accepted Spinoza's theory of physical and mental parallelism and transformed it into an exterior-interior and constantly generated relationship.He uses“affect” to define the body,advocates releasing the physical strength through the happy “affect”,and forms a common concept with happiness as a springboard.From passive emotion to active emotion,he enters the journey of happy practice.This kindof practice is first manifested in the practice of arts.Deleuze regards art as a kind of affective assemblage.Therefore,he praises “minority literature”,typified by Kafka,affirms the “affection-image” in the movies,and regards the artistic style as the creation which generate possibility.Finally,Deleuze's minds bring “affect” into the field of social politics.In his view,“affect”,as a weapon of war machine,can connect the war machine for effective resistance.Under the control of the more complex forms of power technology in society,affect can effectively connect a horizontal open organization in series to achieve individual freedom of life and harmonious development of society.
