Research On The Application Of Animation Creation Based On Anthony Browne Children's Picture Book Painting Style

For changes of new media promote the inter-media integration,and picture books,which attract broad attention during creation as children's enlightened reading materials,should be developed in the future after innovative thinking and exploration under the impact of digital media,it is certainly the general trend to conduct the cross media fusion between picture books and animations which as an art form sharing common points in essence with the books possess the advantage regarded as the logical foundation of the fusion,the connection and identity with the book material since it is created.Of course,this creation mode shows ordinarily abroad but it is in the initial phase at home and has a limited number of works.However,simple fusion without innovation seems as dry as dust.If some painting style is applied in the creation of animations,a new chance of development will appear for both picture books and animations because the bold attempt not only broadens the transmission channel of the books,but also provides great stories as references to the animation creation,embodying the value for study.The paper introduces the definition and features of picture books and animation works adapted from the books and the process of development of the books and adapted animations based on the collected resources of works of the books and the animations,and analyses the current situation of development of book-adapted animations home and abroad.Through research,it is found that the animation works adapted from picture books are lack in China,so the paper chooses the world-known master of picture books Anthony Browne as a representative personage whose painting style is analyses and from that summaries the problems and solutions during the animation process of picture books that need attention.Finally,the author creates the picture book the Stray Dog ‘Doudou' and adapts it into the animation work according to the analysis result,borrowing the super-realism painting style of Anthony Browne,which explores further the practical process of fusing the technique of expression of picture books into the creation of animations.
