Based on the cosmic order of Chuang-tzu's "Constant flux",this paper makes a preliminary attempt to discuss and interpretation of Chuang-tzu's view of life and death from the three dimensions of death, self and time. The first chapter examines the original meaning of "Constant flux" and its philosophical implications. The original meaning of "Constant flux" refers not to the change of ordinary things, but to the "death change" closely related to the existence of human beings. In the classics of the pre-Qin philosophers, the original meaning of "Constant flux" is that the Hsun-Tzu called " Shape changed but there is no change in substance, and there is a profound relationship between this concept and the myth of deformation."Constant flux" are manifested in two ways as the existence of all things: one is "gasification" and the other is "materialization." In the perspective of "Constant flux",The life and death of all things is only part of the the endless transformation of things and there is no absolute death. The second chapter mainly discuss the relationship between death and self, and then reveals the solution of the death problem. The key is the transformation in the self-vision.The opposition between self and external things is the root of the unequality of things."self" and "I" represent the attitudes of the true and non-authentic to death."I lost myself" is to turn the reorientation of "self" from the solidified ready-made subject to the open subject by thinking about death. The eternal view of life is not the spirit of indestruction or the soul is not dead.It is the implication of the individual's life and the infinite life. The third chapter reveals the difference in the concept of time behind the two concepts of life and death.Time participates in the living process of the subject, and also shapes the understanding of life and death and the way of treating life.Ordinary people regard life as a one-way time period composed of different time points, which inevitably leads to the abstraction of time understanding.However,Chuang-tzu's concept of life and death, which is based on gasification theory, transcends the linear time series of life and death.
