Research On The Paths And Motivations Of The Transformation Of Graphic Design Industry In Shenzhen

As the frontier of reform and opening up in China,Shenzhen is the earliest city at home to develop modern design industry.With a strong industrial foundation,its graphic design industry once outperformed and led that of the rest of the country.In recent years,Shenzhen's economic and social environment has undergone constant changes.As a result,the graphic design industry itself has also confronted challenges as well as crises.Prompted by both the external pressure and internal self-adjustment,Shenzhen's graphic design industry continues to be explored,develop and transform,presenting its unique appearance in the new period.By combing and expounding the past and present of Shenzhen's graphic design industry,this paper analyzes and studies the paths and motivations of the transformation of its graphic design industry in a systematic and comprehensive way.It is found that Shenzhen's graphic design industry transformed itself in multiple aspects.As regards the industrial chain,it has transformed itself from design industry and traditional manufacturing industry to design industry and Internet Industry(or customization).In terms of the industrial technology,it has transformed from hand-drawn to design software.As for the business types,it has transformed from desks to screens.In terms of the industrial layout,it has transformed from dispersion and weakness to specialization.Starting from such factors as policy,economy,consumer market and professionals,the paper elaborates on the reasons of the transformation of Shenzhen's graphic design.Based on the above researches,the countermeasures and suggestions are proposed to promote its continuous transformation,in the hope to provide theoretical and policy references for the future development of Shenzhen's graphicdesign industry.
