Exploring The Emotional Communication Of Coloring Techniques In Wood Carving Works

Wood carving is widely used in the world and life,especially in Chinese life from tradition to modernity,court to folk,from literati to ordinary civilians.Whether it s ancient and modern architecture or furniture,or the making of Buddha statues in ancient temples,the carving of flowers,birds,insects and fish,or the portrait memorial of historical figures,there are traces of wood carving.This paper takes wood as the characteristic of sculpture creation materials,and explores the possibility of expressing wood characteristics in sculpture creation from the point of view of wood material characteristics.This paper focuses on exploring the spark and presentation mode of wood and color combination collision,showing the completely different visual feeling on the other side of wood and the emotional meaning conveyed by wood carving coloring language.No longer only explains,explains and uses the wood itself in a evasive way,but also conveys and expresses the meaning of emotional communication established by people s emotional thoughts,inspirational thinking,reason and feelings,the pursuit of soul and the contradiction of reality through the creation and presentation of sculpture works made of wood as the starting point.Using the technique of coloring to enrich the presentation and content of the work.Although aesthetic emotion is generally a pleasure from the enjoyment of beauty,its content is not single,but causes different emotional attitudes according to the content of the aesthetic object.This paper mainly focuses on the application of cultural and historical interpretation of sculpture coloring in the creation of historical sculpture.In the introduction part,the significance and value of wood carving,the development track of sculpture coloring creation from ancient times to modern times,the basis of my topic selection and the practice attempt and analysis summary of wood carving coloring creation are emphasized.In the first chapter,the geographical distribution of wood and the types of commonly used wood are sorted out,and wood is created from traditional to modern.In the second chapter,the significance of sculpture coloring,the origin,development and application of traditional coloring technology,and examples of modern sculpture coloring expression in creation,including accumulated experience and sample examples,are combed to provide a favorable basis and reference for the exploration of wood carving coloring creation.In the third chapter,it mainly introduces the techniques and presentation of wood carving coloring in sculpture creation,including the research of the creator s processing tools and techniques.In the fourth chapter,the author focuses on the experimental attempt and creative practice of his creation and exploration of woodcarving coloring,exploring the human-oriented emotion communication and emotion expression language in contemporary sculpture creation,the creative characteristics of the combination of coloring and woodcarving,and the significance of excavating the emotion communication of woodcarving coloring behind sculpture creation based on the human s own emotion as the starting point and using the presentation mode of woodcarving coloring as the medium.The last part is the conclusion,which makes a brief summary of the full text and summarizes some achievements I have made in the research of woodcarving and coloring during my three years as a graduate student.
