Research On China Industrial Co.,Ltd.(1939-1949)

After the outbreak of the comprehensive war of resistance,the National Government organized the coastal industrial enterprises,research institutes,and institutions of higher learning to move into the rear area in order to preserve the lifeline of the national industry.Due to the needs of the construction of emerging enterprises,while the demand for anti-war military supplies has increased sharply,the demand for steel is large.Huaxi Industrial Co.,Ltd.plans to expand Hualian Iron and Steel Plant into a large-scale steel enterprise with the support of the National Government to support the post-industrial construction policy.In 1939,The Mining Group of Huaxi Industrial Co.,Ltd.,Hualian Iron and Steel Company and China Radio Industry Company merged to form China Industrial Co.,Ltd.with a capital of 12 million yuan.After two capital increases in 1942 and 1943,the capital of China Industrial Co.,Ltd.reached 120 million yuan.This paper taking China Industrial Co.,Ltd.,which is located at the rear during the Anti-Japanese War,as the research object,systematically discusses the historical background,management system,equity changes,production and operation status,historical contribution and the mode of cooperation between government and businessmen.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the reasons and significance of the topic selection,academic research status,data sources and research difficulties.The second part mainly discusses the process of the establishment of China Industrial Co.,Ltd.This part takes the rise of the government-private joint venture during the Anti-Japanese War period as a social background,and analyzes the basic situation of the establishment and establishment of China Industrial Co.,Ltd..It is pointed out that China Industrial Co.,Ltd.is formed by the cooperation of The Mining Group of Huaxi Industrial Co.,Ltd,China Radio Industry Company and Hualian Ironand Steel Company on the basis of cooperation between official and businessmen.The third part mainly discusses the organizational management and equity changes in the development process of China Industrial Co.,Ltd.This part mainly discusses the organization and personnel management of China Industrial Co.,Ltd.,so as to deeply analyze the management characteristics of the joint ventures.In addition,from the expansion of state capital,the intervention of official stocks on business operations,and the contradiction between government and businessmen,this paper analyzes the issue of equity distribution within China Industrial Co.,Ltd.and the issue of cooperation between government and businessmen.In the process of development,China Industrial Co.,Ltd.constantly adjusted its internal management organization and established a complete organizational system.With the expansion of state capital,official stocks strengthened their control over the company’s operations,and the contradictions between government and businessmen also intensified.The fourth part mainly analyzes the development of China Industrial Co.,Ltd.from the aspects of production department layout,production equipment and operation status,and analyzes the reasons for the difficulties of China Industrial Co.,Ltd..It is pointed out that China Industrial Co.,Ltd.has complete production equipment and a wide range of business operations,including steel,machinery,kiln and electricity.Although China Industrial Co.,Ltd.has a certain surplus in its operating performance over the years,it is difficult to develop due to factors such as the economic control policies of the war,inflation,raw material dilemmas,and reduced market demand.The fifth part mainly discusses the decline process of China Industrial Co.,Ltd.after the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan from the following aspects: the depression of industry and mining industry in the rear area after the war,the temporary suspension of construction of China Industrial Co.,Ltd.to partial resumption of work,and the struggle for corporate ownership by commercial shares,and gives an objective evaluation of its business model and contribution.After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,due to poor capital turnover and poor sales of iron and steel,China Industrial Co.,Ltd.stopped work and laid off workers.In 1947,China Industrial Co.,Ltd.resumed production in some factories and mines,but under the influence of the civil war,it ended operation in 1949.However,during the Anti-Japanese War period,China Industrial Co.,Ltd.provided a large amount of military and civilian materials for the rear area,and also made important contributions to the social and economic development of Chongqing during the war.
