He thought that human nature cannot explained by the good and evil and considered human nature including both good and evil, stressed person all has a good human nature, even holding goodness of human nature.Wang Anshi concluded that there exist conflicts and clashes between the statements of human nature and point of view of good and evil of human nature, even can be treated as self-contradict conflict. This constituted the first characteristic which Wang Anshi discusses'at the same time, Wang Anshi's theory of human nature has intense realism orientation, finally point to the political ideal of "the law of old three generations" of Wang Anshi.Wang An Shi's theory of human nature as the basis for its political ideals of "external king" is regarded as an Important part of mind of "Internal Holy" particularly as reflected in the nature of the Debate of cultivating talents and the basis for Kingly and Tyrannical Rules, and built up Wang An Shi's political self-confidence.Because of the limitations of their own (less literature, the lack of consistency), theory of human nature should play an important part in its entire ideological system which has the marginal position. But late South Song Dynasty denied Wang An Shi and his studies, with NeoCoufucaianisms stressed Wang An Shi's'don't know Tao',and the study of Confucianism as a pseudo-real Buddha refuted.
