Our country has a vast territory and the generation of culture is restricted by the environment, each region has formed a unique regional culture due to differences in natural environment, religious belief, social environment and unbalanced economic development. In terms of regional culture, the migration of floating population is a migration within a culture region or from one culture region to another. In the process of the floating population's residence, they should not only adapt to the modern industrial society culture, but also adapt to the regional culture of a specific city. For individuals of different regional cultures, although China's floating population have close ties of language, kinship, and geography under the unified Chinese national culture,it still has differences in social culture, psychology, thoughts, education and values, forming its own unique regional culture. Therefore,in the process of cross-regional cultural, the floating population still has cultural adaptation problems, and the status of cultural adaptation is closely related to the willingness of migrants to stay. Most of the previous studies focused on the urban-rural cultural gap caused by the urban-rural dual system after the migrants entered the city, that is,the adaptation to the industrial society and culture, and there is less literature focusing on adaptation to specific regional cultures in urban society. The author believes that regional cultural differences will also affect the migrants' willingness to stay.Based on the perspective of cross-cultural adaptation, the article focuses on the relationship between regional cultural differences and the willingness of migrants to stay in the context of population mobility.According to the theory of population migration and cultural adaptation theory, the paper aims to clarify whether there are cultural regional differences among the influencing factors of floating population's residence intention, and explore the influence mechanism of regional cultural differences on the residence intention of floating population and the mediating effect of acculturation.,On this basis,it is judged whether there are differences in the influencing factors of the floating population's willingness to stay when across the same cultural region and across different cultural regions. The article focuses on the relationship between regional cultural differences and the willingness of migrants to live in the context of population movements.Based on the theory of population migration and cultural adaptation theory, the paper aims to clarify whether there are cultural regional differences in the influencing factors of the residence intention and whether there are differences between migrants across different cultural regions and migrants across the same cultural region, and to explore the impact of regional cultural differences on the willingness of migrants to stay and whether cultural adaptation plays a mediating role. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:First, regional cultural differences have a significant negative impact on the residence intention of the floating population. When the floating population crosses different cultural regions, the residence intention of the floating population to stay is weaker, and this effect is still significant after controlling the selective bias of cultural regions. However, due to the influence of sample selectivity bias, regression analysis before unmatched will underestimate the impact of regional cultural differences on the willingness of migrants to stay.Second, regional cultural differences have a significant impact on the cultural adaptation of the floating population. When crossing different cultural regions, the cultural adaptation of the floating population is worse.Third, acculturation is positively promoting the residence intention of floating population.Fourth, cultural adaptation plays a partial intermediary role between regional cultural differences and the floating population's willingness to stay.Fifth, there are differences in the factors affecting the residence intention of the floating population between different cultural regions and there are differences when cross different cultural regions and cross the same cultural region. This article includes graph 4,the table 32 and the reference 107.
