Political identity is a kind of psychological sense of belonging,which is the premise for the sustained and stable operation of the political system.Therefore,the ruling class hopes that its political power can be recognized and agreed by the people and hopes to obtain more obedience.Then the ruling class can transform political power into political authority.In the political practice,the political system reacts on the identity subject through political operation,political propaganda,policies and so on,and makes the identity subject establish the political identity of the political system.In the early period of new China,the new regime established by the communist party of China was beset with internal and external troubles.And the number of farmers accounted for the vast majority of the country's total population.Therefore,farmers recognized the new regime,which was conducive to the stability and development of new regime.Whether the political identity of peasants established or not,which depends on whether the new regime safeguards the rights and interests of peasants.Therefore,in the early period of new China,the state granted land rights and interests of farmers through the land reform,making farmers highly motivated in production and the rural economy developed rapidly.Through class division,the state realized the political education of the peasants,and the concept of peasant class identity replaced the traditional feudal concept of identity.The change of rural political organization makes the grassroots elites replace the traditional gentry class.The grassroots elites becomes the new rural power center.The political and economic rights and interests of farmers are guaranteed,and the state has improved their culture quality through literacy education,and their ideological values and concepts have also been transformed.In addition,the peasants also established Marxism-Leninism ideology and political belief.Therefore,in the early period of new China,the peasants and the political system realized the benign interaction in the political process,and the peasants established the"participation consciousness" political identity.In the early period of new China,the peasants established positive political identity of the political system,which led to more political obedience.Therefore,farmers actively participate in series of national political activities,promote the political stability and political development of the political system.Stability and development of the new regime has been achieved.
