Chinese culture is an endless river,and national culture is the river of rich and colorful rivers.Ethnic themes have always held an important position in the field of art.Ethnic themes have always held an important position in the field of art.In recent years,the creation in the form of picture books has become richer and richer,and the artistic style has become more and more mature.At present,it can be divided into two categories: ethnic introduction and folk tales.The author's "dream of Shidi west" is a picture book based on personal growth experience and set in Shidi town,a tujia community in the western state of Xiangxi,Hunan province.It mainly tells about the imagination caused by all kinds of strange and interesting events that the author encountered in his childhood life in Shidi town.The story is presented in a non-linear narrative way,and the picture content is mixed with imagination and presented in the dream stage by stage.The works mainly want to show the simple wisdom and life interest of tujia people.This paper mainly explores and summarizes the collection investigation,structure sorting,performance style,painting techniques,picture design,text writing,book design and other actual creation contents in the creation process of picture book "dream of Shidi west ".
