The Relationship Between Portuguese Tile Paintings And Chinese Cultural Elements And The Development Of Modernity

Ceramic tile painting is the most culturally recognizable art form in Portugal,which represents a unique decorative form.The 16th-17th century is the peak period of the development of Portuguese ceramic tile painting,and this period is also the most frequent historical stage of cultural and economic exchanges between China and Portugal,so the generation and development of its style is inevitably related to the elements of Chinese culture at the same time.From the perspective of the changing form and process of the style,Chinese cultural elements run through the art style of Portuguese ceramic tiles.From the maritime trade between China and Europe to the cultural exchange that has a profound impact on the European region,the "Chinese style" style has become the main thread of the changing process.This process is not the result of simple direct influence,but formed under the comprehensive influence of the overall economic trade and cultural exchange between China and Europe in the 16th-17th century under the global navigation trade environment,which is a gradual process.That is to say,the elements of Chinese culture are first embodied in the art forms of Delft pottery in the Netherlands and Rococo style in Europe,and then affect Portuguese ceramic tile painting.This paper takes Portuguese ceramic tile painting as the research object,not only to explore the formation mechanism of its artistic style,to analyze the influence of Chinese cultural elements on its aesthetic and design,but also to explore the inspiration of its design and creation in the field of modern ceramic tile painting decoration through the study of this cultural transformation.Thus,it reveals why blue and white,a decorative form with Chinese classical style,developed and flourished in Portugal,which is the most culturally recognizable art feature in the region.The research structure of this paper is mainly divided into three parts:first,it expounds the maritime trade and cultural exchange between China and Portugal in the 16th-17th century,and analyzes the cultural origin of the two from the background of the great navigation era;second,it analyzes the embodiment and influence mechanism of Chinese cultural elements in Portuguese ceramic tile painting,so as to clarify the system and context of this cultural transformation process;third,it analyzes the influence mechanism of Chinese cultural elements in Portuguese ceramic tile painting The development process of Portuguese ceramic tile painting is studied,and Its Enlightenment to modern ceramic mural decoration is analyzed.
