Objective: To examine the influence of Life history strategies on adolescent Aggressive behavior, and the predictive effects of Dark Triad and Sadism on adolescent Aggressive behavior. To examine the mediating role of Dark Triad and Sadism in the relationship between Life history strategy and adolescent Aggressive behavior. Methods: The subjects were 621 students from two high schools in Zhengzhou.Valid data were tested and collected using the Life history strategy scale(Mini-K),the Dark Triad scale(DD),the Short Sadistic Impulse Scale(SSIS),and the Aggression Questionnaire(BPAQ),with SPSS21.0 software for data statistics and analysis. The methods of data processing mainly include descriptive statistics, independent sample t test,Pearson product difference correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis and mediation effect test.Result:(1)The scores of males in Psychopathy,Machiavellianism and physical aggression were higher than that of female subjects, and the differences were statistically significant. The scores of males in Narcissism,Sadism and verbal aggression were higher than that of female subjects,But the differences are not significant.(2)In both men and women,Life history strategies were negatively correlated with Machiavellianism,Psychopathy,Sadism, and Aggressive behavior, but not with Narcissism.Machiavellianism,Psychopathy and Sadism were positively correlated with Aggressive behavior.Narcissism was negatively correlated with physical aggression, verbal aggression and hostility, but not with anger and self-directed aggression.(3)The scores of Machiavellianism,Psychopathy,Sadism and Aggressive behavior in the low-group Life history strategy were all higher than those in thehigh-group,and the difference was statistically significant, but there was no significant difference in Narcissism.(4)The Life history strategies negatively predicted Aggressive behavior(?=-0.264,p<0.01),Machiavellianism(?= 0.305,p<0.01),Psychopathy(?=0.252,p<0.01)and Sadism(?=0.298,p<0.01)positively predicted Aggressive behavior, while Narcissism(?=0.063,p>0.05)had no predictive effect on Aggressive behavior. The interpretation rates of Life history strategies,Dark Triad and Sadism were 6.5%,28.3% and 6.6%,respectively.(5)Machiavellianism plays an intermediary role between Life history strategies and Aggressive behavior, and the direct and indirect effects are 76.92%and 23.08%.Psychopathy mediates between Life history strategies and Aggressive behavior, with the direct and mediated effects are 71.43% and 28.57%.Narcissism mediates between the Life history strategies and Aggressive behavior, with the direct and mediating effects are62.07% and 37.93%,respectively.Conclusion:(1)Men's life history strategy score is significantly lower than that of women, but "Dark Triad","sadism" and "Aggressive behavior" score higher than that of women, this means that men will adopt faster Life history strategies and have higher levels of "Dark Triads","sadism" and "Aggressive behavior" than women.(2)Life history strategy was negatively correlated with Dark Triad,Sadism and Aggressive behavior, while Machiavellianism,Psychopathy and Sadism were positively correlated with Aggressive behavior.Narcissism was negatively correlated with physical aggression, verbal aggression and hostility, but not with anger and self-directed aggression.(3)Life history strategies has a negative predictive effect on Aggressive behavior,Machiavellianism,Psychopathy and Sadism have a positive predictive effect on Aggressive behavior, while Narcissism has no significant predictive effect on Aggressive behavior.(4)Machiavellianism has a significant mediating effect between Life history strategy and Aggressive behavior,Psychopathy has a significant mediating effectbetween Life history strategy and Aggressive behavior, and Sadism has a significant mediating effect between Life history strategy and Aggressive behavior.
