At the beginning of the 20 th century,the idea of organic agriculture centered on of organic agriculture to the United States.Under the influence of him,organic agriculture gradually evolved into a systematic agricultural production method.Then after decades,organic agriculture developed into a highly profitable industry in the United States.The problems it exposed subsequently caused the need for federal government supervision.Under the combined effect of various interest groups,the US Congress passed the Organic Food Production Act in 1990.Organic agriculture is officially included in the federal government's regulatory agenda.After the promulgation of the Federal Organic Standards in 2002,the Federal Government included the provisions on supporting organic agriculture in the Agricultural Act,and the organic industry ushered in a stage of rapid development.1990 was a turning point in the development of organic agriculture in the United States.With the solidarity of multiple interest groups such as large food producers,organic agriculture advocates and environmentalists,Congress passed the Organic Foods Production Act in 1990.It authorized the United State Department of Agriculture to set up National Organic Program,and the Marketing Service to oversee organic farming of the whole country.In October 2002,the United State Department of Agriculture announced the official entry into force of Federal Organic standards,marking the beginning of the federal government's official supervision of organic agriculture.Since then,the federal organic agriculture policy has been adjusted through Congress amending the Organic Foods Production Act and the United State Department of Agriculture amendment of organic regulations.The United States federal government's organic agriculture policy is mainly aimed at supporting organic producer,funding scientific research on organic agriculture,and promoting international trade in organic products.The United States federal organic agriculture policy has a positive impact and some limitations.Our government can learn from the experience and lessons of the US federal government in formulating organic agriculture policies.
