A Report On The Translation Of Organic Agricultural Practices-Alternatives To Conventional Agricultural System (Chapter Fifteen)

In recent years,organic agriculture as a new way of agricultural practice began to be recognized by global farmers.Compared with conventional agriculture,organic agriculture has many unique advantages.Firstly,it can solve the problems of environmental pollution and energy consumption brought by the development of conventional agriculture.Secondly,it can help to raise farmers' income and develop the rural economy as well.Finally,the general concern of the public about the issue of food safety can also be addressed through the development of organic agriculture.Therefore,organic agriculture has been promoted in more than 100 countries all over the world and enjoys a broad market in developed countries in Europe and America.China has not realized the agricultural modernization completely so far.The development of organic agriculture can play a significant role in realizing China's agricultural modernization.Thus,for the sake of introducing relevant scientific knowledge to China,this translation practice selected Organic Agricultural Practices-Alternatives to Conventional Agricultural System as the original text which is of certain significance to the development of organic agriculture in China.This report is divided into four chapters.Chapter One introduces the background information of the project,preparation before translation,difficulties in translation and summary of practice.In Chapter Two,the translator analyzed the features of the source text which are also major difficulties for this translation.In Chapter Three,the translator demonstrated those translation methods and techniques applied through detailed case analysis.In the end,the translator summarized this translation practice in terms of gains and problems unsolved.
