Report On The C-E Translation Of The Bidding Documents Of Thailand Project Of Yanchang Petroleum Mining Co. Ltd.(Chapter 4) From The Perspective Of Functional Equivalence

Bidding is one of the main trading methods in today' s international economic and trade activities.A good many international engineering projects and goods procurement must be conducted in an open and fair international competitive bidding manner to ensure that loans be legally utilized.As the basis and guarantee for the entire bidding activity,the translation of documents is vital for bidding.Studies on bidding documents are not rare,but studies based on the translation practice have not cover adequate ranges of domain.Based on the translation of the fourth chapter of the bidding documents for Thailand project of Yanchang Petroleum& Mining Co.Ltd.,this report applies functional equivalence translation theory to the exploration of the difficulties in the translation of contracts in petroleum industry.It is expected that it will be of some significance in solving the problem of similar text translation,and helping the international development of the petroleum industry,even foster national economic development.
