Study On Illustrations And Comics Of Lu Xun's Novel "Sadness"

"Sadness" is a love novel.It is also the only one of Mr.Lu Xun's many works related to love.It penetrates the pursuit of individual liberation,criticizes the feudal thoughts,and dissects the opposite anatomy of love and economic contradictions.Mr.Lu Xun's life experience and his reflection on the trend of the times also brought contemporary people's thinking about real life.At the beginning of the twentieth century,due to the low general cultural level of the people at that time,the core of the novel could not be understood by most people.Illustrated books and comic books were born in response to the needs of the times.The graphic and textual design does not require high cultural standards,and the exquisite and individual paintings are fascinating.Their popularity and significance have contributed to the spread of the work.At the same time,the illustrations and comic books complement the text to a certain extent by virtue of their own intuitive advantages.The text supplements the incomplete content of the picture.The picture highlights the wonderfulness of the text and strives to stand out against each other.Based on the illustrations and comics in each edition of "Sadness",this article attempts to explore the rules and techniques of the illustrations and comics in"Sadness" in drawing,to figure out how the images describe the events of the original work of "Sadness",and to discover the moments in which the images are fixed in the theme.On the basis of the tension,I set out to analyze the narrative function of the illustrations and comics images in "Sadness" from three aspects:single image,multiple images and comic images.The various illustrations and comic strip editions of "Sadness" fully respect the original characterization of the character's image,and use the imagery to make characters in the original novels.This article tries to find out from the illustrations and comic strips of different versions of "Sadness".Three types of statues are created,namely,worshiping female students who are seeking freedom,struggling women,trivial and vulgar women,and fighting for freedom and happiness,and finally returning to the dusty existence of the void;three types of statues,which lead the children to escape from the feudal old family,A spiritual teacher who gives Zijun hope and guidance,abandons Zijun's dwarf of self-protection when life is distressed,even if the reality is bleak,he is still trying to pursue a new life of the imaginary flapper;other figures,such as the leisure class,Power class and nameless bottom.The illustrations and comic strips of "Sadness" are used in "temporalization of space" to perform image narratives and character portraits through "the most fertile moment".The realization of universal logic and the most meaningful narrative between them was accomplished through scene depiction.Flowers,trees and trees drawn in expressive colors contrast with natural landscapes such as the four seasons in the passage of time;material spaces from the hall to the library,from the Jishao alley to the kitchen,from the road to the grave;marriage,social etiquette Other custom scenes have jointly promoted the plot development of the illustrations and comic strips of "Sadness",highlighting the distinctive personality of the characters.
