Due to the promotion and popularity of Mandarin, the entering tone of Xinghua dialect is evolving. For the time being, the current research is based on monosyllabic acoustic analysis and traditional "expert ear-audio scoring ".So far, there is still a blank study on the changes and perception of the entering tone's pitch, duration and throat plug tail which are in the voice stream of the new school. This paper takes the new dialect sounders of the entering tone in the northeast of Xinghua as the object of study,we will use the method of modern experimental phonetics to describes and analyzes the evolution of the entering tone which is in the actual speech streams. The text is mainly composed of three parts:The first part is composed of two perceptual experiments. And we invited 30 ordinary residents from 15 to 80 years old in the dialect area to participate in this experiment. The subjects of the experiment are two ambiguous sentences composed of words with entering tone and homonyms in close tone.Distinguishing experiment and identification experiment have found that the entering tone is indeed undergoing some evolution. However, the new dialect sounders of the entering tone in the northeast of Xinghua have not been incorporated into the other long tones. In the second part,we take the entering tones in the actual speech streams as the object of study. The characteristics of the new dialect sounders of the entering tone and it's combination with other tones are studied by using the pitch target theory and its mathematical model.T-test results show that there is no significant difference between the m value of the entering tone Yin and Yang and the given constant "0",both of which belong to flat tone. The falling tone and the entering tone of Yin 's pitch are different, the entering tone of Yin of New School has the function of distinguishing word meaning. However, the rising tone and the entering tone of Yang converge on the pitch, which can not be distinguished by pitch information alone. The third part compares old school and new school's entering tones whichmainly involves three aspects: duration, the throat plug tail and the pitch curve in the different positions in the sentences. The results show that,in terms of duration,no matter whether it is Yin or Yang entering tone, their duration when they are at the end of the sentence are longer than when they are in the middle of the sentence. Both the old and the new's entering tone's duration are shorter than 200 ms in the middle of the sentence, but at the end of the sentence, the new and the old are longer than 200 ms.The duration is an important distinguishing feature of the new school's,which has not yet been incorporated into the rising tone.In terms of the throat plug tail,in the middle of sentence, the old and the new's throat plug tail are basically off;at the end of the sentence, the old school's speakers ‘s throat plug tail are all retained.,however, there are two new school's speakers of the entering tone's throat plug tails are basically retained. In terms of the pitch curves,in most cases, the new school's Yin entering tone is flat, either in the sentence or at the end of the sentence, but also appeared a small decline. In most cases, the Yang entering tone's pitch in the new school pronunciation shows a rising characteristic. The pitch curve of Yin entering tone in the old school pronunciation is mainly high and flat, and the Yin in the end of the sentence also has a downward trend. The Yang entering tone's pitch in the old school pronunciation is mainly rising in the sentence. To sum up,we found that the evolution of the entering tone in the northeast of Xinghua is still in the first stage.
