With the vigorous development of education,the importance of basic education has become increasingly prominent.In particular,since the quality-oriented education for primary school English teaching was formally incorporated into the national curriculum in 2001,the new curriculum standards have put forward higher requirements for primary school English teaching.Therefore,in order to fundamentally guarantee the quality of primary school English teaching,it is necessary to strengthen the construction of primary school English teachers and improve their professional development level.This paper attempts to grasp the connotation of primary school English teachers' professional development,and at the same time,to investigate nine primary school English teachers in four counties and five districts of Daqing City.Through statistical survey data,it is found that there are some problems in primary school English teachers in Daqing,such as serious imbalance of gender ratio,heavy workload of teachers,psychological pressure and weak professional competence,which to some extent affect the professional development of primary school English teachers.The causes of the above problems may be analyzed from three aspects:society,schools and individual teachers.From the perspective of social factors,firstly,the public's insufficient social support for primary school English teachers is not respected and recognized in practical work,which is also the direct reason for their low social status.Secondly,there are school factors.Unscientific management,imperfect pricing system and formalist training all play a negative guiding role in the professional development of primary school English teachers,hindering their awareness of professional improvement.Finally from the point of teachers' personal factors,teachers under the working state of the overload for a long time,for his professional identity and job satisfaction is low,it is the direct cause of partial unenthusiastic about professional development for teachers,and teachers in the teaching of psychological insecurity leads to slow its teaching idea renewal,indirectly influenced the teaching attitude and the quality of classroom teaching.Based on the above situation and the causes of the problems,the author puts forward the following Suggestions:from the macro social level,it is necessary to increase the government support,strengthen the public trust of teachers,enhance the cultural construction of teachers' ethics,enhance the teaching confidence of primary school English teachers,and lay a foundation for improving their professional development level.From the middle school level,we should optimize the management system,improve the professional title evaluation system for teachers,and optimize the school-based training mode.At the micro personal level,teachers should enhance the awareness of professional independent development,update the information teaching concept,and establish the concept of lifelong learning,constantly improve one's professional development.
