Femininty In Beauvoir's Feminist Thought

This paper combines Beauvoir's most outstanding theoretical representative work The Second Sex with her three novels The Female Guest Monologue and The Celebrity Love.It mainly discusses and studies the femininity in Beauvoir's feminist thoughts by means of literature research,close reading and induction.In The Second Sex,the core concept of The Other runs through the book.Research on The Other has become a hot spot in Beauvoir 's ideological world,attracting numerous scholoars to explore,but few people have paid attention to Beauvoir's view on Femininity.In view of this situation,this paper,on the basis of being faithful to the original text of The Second Sex,analyzes Beauvoir's Femininity,sorts out Beauvoir's views on complicity,discipline,negativity and variability.It also discusses the expression of Femininity from the aspect of physiology,appearance,psychology and personality.This view is supported by Beauvior's three novels,The Female Guest,Monologue and The Celebrity Love.Finally,the influence of Beauvoir 's Femininity is classified and summarized.Beauvoir's feminist thought has never been aimed at setting up barriers or provoking wars between the two sexes.Whether her The Other or Femininity is a small attempt and effort to establish harmonious relations between people.She longs for gender equality,just as we have always wanted world peace.
