| In this paper,the research of Buddhism in Bingzhou of Tang Dynasty,mainly from five parts.In the first part,the author makes a brief analysis of the performance and reasons of the development of Bingzhou Buddhism before the Tang Dynasty through the records of handed down materials,and points out that the development of Bingzhou Buddhism before Tang Dynasty has predominant foundation.In the second part,through the analysis of the Bingzhou eminent monks in Tang Dynasty recorded in The Legend of the continued Eminent Monk,The Legend of the Eminent Monks of the Song Dynasty,A Journey to the Tang Dynasty in search of Law,the Dunhuang documents and some inscriptions,and local chronicles of the Ming and Qing dynasties,etc,the author believes that the peak period of the activities of Bingzhou eminent monks in Tang Dynasty was before Emperor Tang Wuzong.In space,the scope of activities mainly concentrated in Jinyang and Taiyuan counties,and placed them in the background of social development in Tang Dynasty,and analyzed the causes of this spatial-temporal distribution.In the third part,the author makes a comprehensive statistics and analysis on the Buddhist temples in Bingzhou of the Tang Dynasty by using The Legend of the Continued Eminent Monk,The Legend of the Eminent Monks of the Song Dynasty,A Journey to the Tang Dynasty in search of Law,the Dunhuang documents,Relevant local chronicles and inscription and so on,It is considered that the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of the Buddhist temple in the Tang Dynasty are basically the same as those of the eminent monks in the Tang Dynasty.Shouyang County is the sub-center of the development of Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty.The fourth part mainly studies the Bingzhou Buddhist stone inscriptions of the Tang Dynasty through the Shanyou Stone Carving Series,The Shanxi Stone Carvings,A full compilation of Stone inscriptions in Sui,Tang and the Five Dynasties,and then analyzes the distribution characteristics and reasons of these stone carvings.We can point that the distribution time of the Bingzhou Buddhist carvings in the Tang Dynasty was mainly concentrated before Emperor Tang Wuzong,and the Buddhist stone carvings in Shouyang County were the most in space.In the fifth part,the author comprehensively analyzes the Bingzhou eminent monks,Buddhist temples and Buddhist stone inscriptions in the Tang Dynasty,and analyzes the reasons,status and influence of theprosperity of Bingzhou Buddhism in the Tang Dynasty.Based on the above discussion,it is believed that the Tang Dynasty Bingzhou is the largest central region about Hedongdao Buddhism. |
