Research On The Performance Of Drama In The Diary Of Tuixiangzhai

For half a century,on a daily note,Mr.Liu Dapeng,the gentry of Taiyuan jinci,he began to write diary at the age of 34,he continuous record of 51 years until he end of life,but there are only 42 years diary has been preserved.The folk customs of Jinci and its surrounding areas such as folk life,performance of rituals,geography,history and so on are recorded.His diary is a valuable historical material for us,and has been paid more and more attention by scholars at home and abroad.Especially,in the late Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China,the opera culture was in a period of great prosperity and development,which is worthy of study in the field of opera.Jinci is one of the most important cultural relics and monuments in Taiyuan,Shanxi Province.It is the earliest and largest classical ancestral building in China.It is now a national 4A-grade scenic spot.Jinci temple in ancient times,there are many gods,temple fairs throughout the year,sacrifice is the core of temple fairs,opera is an essential activity of temple fairs.In the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China,due to political turmoil,many temples and statues were destroyed,but folk activities such as the performance of the drama,the meeting of the Games,and so on,were still carried out on schedule.Jinci area,Jinzhong area,folk routine performance and commercial opera performance with economic development and change.Among them,Jinci temple fairs of the most frequent drama activities,such as raising to welcome God,sacrifice birthday for the origin of the performance,such as the performance of the gods,lift the rest of the community,folk festivals,games will welcome God and so on.As alocal squire,Mr.Liu Dapeng not only recorded the local opera performance in detail,but also participated in the organization in person,so that his account could be more accurate.It is a precious research material.The Diary of Tuixiangzhai used to be an excerpt publication,and the previous research on it was based on it.I have the honour to make a comprehensive investigation of all diaries,combing the contents of opera performances and making a preliminary study.In order to reveal the development trend of folk custom and opera performance in jinci area,this paper takes the temple fair in jinci area as the center to discuss the vicissitude of folk custom activities in jinci area.
