As the links between countries increase, more and more people begin to learn their second language. For most learners, however, even after years of learning, their ability to use the second language is still not comparable to their first language in the aspect of proficiency. In order to enable foreign language learners to master a new language quickly and skillfully, the second language acquisition theory came into being.Second language acquisition is a complex system involving many factors. To scientifically discuss second language acquisition,it is inseparable from the internal learner factors and external social environment factors and the interaction of these two factors. Most linguists focus more on the interaction between second language acquisition theory and other disciplines in their researches.Few people take it from the perspective of learners.Researches, starting from the perspective of cultural conflicts, are fewer. As a carrier of culture, language reflects the cultural characteristics of a country from the side and is also an important part of cultural output. So as to be proficient in a language, learners must have a certain level of understanding of the culture behind it.Therefore, this thesis will take intercultural communication as the background, combine cultural conflicts with the learners' second language learning, and try to find a better way for learners from the perspective of cultural conflicts. The author hopes that through the study of the impact of cultural conflicts on second language acquisition(SLA),this thesis can help learners to establish a new SLA model, stimulate their interest in learning, solve the difficulties encountered by them in the process of SLA,and find different methods for learners of different genders, ages and cultures. This thesis pays attention to grammar and oral performances in second language acquisition, aiming to research the relationship between intercultural communication and these two aspects in second language acquisition in a more detailed way. This thesis analyzes the relationship between these two subjects from the perspective of learners, and tries to answer the following questions:(1)Do cultural conflicts have an impact on learners' oral performances and grammar of second language ?(2)How much do cultural conflicts affect the learners' second language in the secondary aspects of oral performances and grammar?(3)Can we provide new learning methods for learners' second language learning from the perspective of cultural conflicts? This thesis tests the learners' second language culture understanding degree and learning degree through questionnaires and second language test papers. In order to ensure the validity of the test, two groups of students were selected in this thesis. One group is Chinese students whose major is English, and the other group is Thai students whose second language is Chinese. The second language level of the selected students in this research is same.By separately testing the two groups of students and analyzing the test data by SPSS,we can draw the following conclusions:(1)Cultural conflicts do have an impact on spoken and grammar of learners' second language;(2)The different levels of learners' second language culture understanding have different interpretations of secondary aspects of oral performances and grammar. Therefore,in the process of second language teaching, the teachers had better briefly introduce the cultural connotation behind the language and enhance the learners' comprehension of the second language culture. Thus they can promote the learners' acquisition of the second language, mobilize the learners' interest in learning and help learners find the new directions for second language learning.
