An Analysis On English-Chinese Translation Strategies Of The Short Story

"The Letter Scene"(1986)is a short story of American famous writer Susan Sontag.Based on the translation practice of "The Letter Scene",this thesis generalizes problems and analyzes translation strategies during the process from the perspective of feminist translation theory.This thesis falls into four parts.CHAPTER ONE introduces research background,methods and significance.CHAPTER TWO analyzes text features and presents the translation views of feminist translation theory.CHAPTER THREE discusses the "gender consciousness" in vocabulary translation,and the translator's subjectivity in sentence and text translation with these typical examples in the light of feminist translation theory.CHAPTER FOUR is to summarize shortcomings and extract experiences in this translation practice,in the hope of being beneficial to Sontag's research and short story's translation.
