Teacher-student interaction in class is the most extensive and important interaction type in the teaching process.Through the interaction in class,the professional qualities of the teachers can be improved,the learning abilities of students can be optimized,fine teaching effects can be achieved and meaningful learning can be acquired.With the gradual deepening of teaching reform,the ability of students to communicate with English have been paid an important attention.Therefore,teachers are required to interact with students actively in the process of classroom teaching,and cultivate the enthusiasm and creativity of students in English learning.However,the lack of substantive guidance in the practice of senior high school English teaching result in one-way interaction between teachers` illustration and students` passive response in many classes.So this study will base on a detailed analysis of teacher-student interaction in high-quality classes,to find the characteristics and teaching strategies of interaction in order to improve a significant references and guidance for teachers to run effective teacher-student interaction in class teaching.The improved Flanders interaction analysis system will be used as a research tool to carry out quantitative and qualitative analysis on fifteen high-quality lessons from the Eleventh Senior High School English Teaching Seminar.First of all,interpret and study the improved Flanders interaction analysis system carefully,and on the basis of mastering the analyzing methods,record and collect data from four categories: teacher talk,student talk,silence or confusion and technology.Then analyze the teacher-student interaction in the dimension of lead-in,teaching procedure and consolidation by the combination of ratio analysis and matrix analysis.Based on the above research,the characteristics of teacher-student interaction of high-quality English classes in senior high school are as follows:1.English teachers in senior high school are good at using various lead-in strategies such as situational lead-in,game lead-in and question lead-in to innovate the classes,and create a good atmosphere to achieve positive teacher-student interaction in class.2.Teacher-student interaction in class has a high frequency in teaching procedure,thereare different organization strategies to explain and convey knowledge,by means of questions and answers,discussion,self-exploration and group work to make the students more autonomous in language learning.3.In the process of consolidation,the language proportion of student talk is higher than that of the teacher.Through abundant and varied practice activities,students are given a full speaking right to develop their language communication abilities.Combined with interesting homework,the contents in class are extended to the living practice so as to strengthen the use of language.4.Teachers often use positive,inspiring and receptive feedback strategies to have positive impacts on the language learning of students,create a harmonious teacher-student interaction environment,stimulate the learning motivation of students.Through the analysis above,this study believes that the teacher-student interaction characteristics of high-quality English classes in senior high school will let the teachers reflect their own advantages and disadvantages of the interaction level in class constantly,and choose the teaching strategy more flexible,more innovative to enhance the level of teacher-student interaction in class.
