Giorgio de Chirico(1888-1978)was a well-known Italian artist of the 20th century.Chirico devoted his life to the creation of "metaphysical painting".His metaphysical painting language was expressed in various forms.Artistic expression creates a contradictory space.trying to free itself in painting and hide its metaphysical meaning between the picture and the object,so as to "reveal" another indifference,desolation,loneliness,and boundlessness under the appearance Fantasy mysterious world.This thesis attempts to analyze and study the features of the language of the metaphysical painting and the characteristics of the spiritual world in the early period of de Chirico.The second chapter of this thesiss unfolds chronologically,combing Chirico's life-long painting studies and the formation and development of painting styles,and explaining the context of the metaphysical painting school.Chapter III mainly analyzes the visual language of de Chirico's works from 1909 to early 1914 with examples.The works of this period often focus on urban architecture and concrete objects,which are full of philosophical meaning.The first section analyzes the performance of the multiple perspectives of its initial metaphysical painting;the second section analyzes the relationship between the dislocation and unity between space and the image;the third section mainly analyzes the use of color and light and shadow;the fourth section explains the spiritual metaphors and Expression methods;Section V is mainly to summarize the relationship between metaphysical art and spirit.The fourth chapter explores its(whose)spiritual origin.The spiritual roots of metaphysical painting are diverse.It not only learns from the romantic artistic aesthetics,but also continuously draws the nutrients of philosophy.The first section of the thesis attempts to explore the learning process and the form of painting in de Chirico and the romantic spirit;the second section focuses on Nietzsche.the most profound meaning of de Chirico,as his main thread,and analyzes his drawing and understanding of Nietzsche's spirit.Expression;in the third section,he integrated de Chirico's physical and mental characteristics to interpret his fusion ideas;in the fourth section,he explored his spiritual revelation and difference to Surrealism,and objectively analyzed its artistic value.Art can help people understand the deepest truth through insight beyond the rules of rationality,and through analysis of the spirit,art can help us better understand the composition of painting languageDe Chirico has a variety of metaphysical art forms,and his works are numerous.The spiritual connotation of metaphysical painting needs to be constantly explored.Studying the expression of metaphysical artistic language in the early period of de Chirico can help us understand the initial features of metaphysical art.And the nature of its spiritual world,thereby helping to more fully understand the context of metaphysical art formation and its artistic rationality and value.This dissertation attempts to emphasize the contradiction of de Chirico's metaphysical drawing language as a result of its multiple spiritual absorptions.
