Reading skills are an extremely important part of English skills test.Perceptual learning style is one of the most important factors of learning style. It will affect students' learning behaviors. In recent years, the new curriculum standard also proposes to pay attention to the individual differences of students. Therefore, scholars are required to study individual perceptual learning style. However,in recent years, the research object of perceptual learning style has been maintained between senior high school students and college students. And there is a lack of research on junior high school students as the research object. This study aims to provide some inspirations for teachers' reading teaching by examining the correlation between junior high school students' perceptual learning style and their English reading scores.Based on Joy Reid' s theory of perceptual learning style, this paper studies the following questions.First, what are the overall characteristics of junior high school students' perceived learning style? Second, what is the relationship between perceptual learning style and total scores of English reading comprehension and scores of different test types? Thirdly, what is the prediction level of perceived learning style for English reading achievement and different test styles?Through a questionnaire survey on an example, relevant data on perceptual learning style were obtained. Then,SPSS 21.0 was used to carry out corresponding statistical analysis on these data, and the following conclusions were drawn: 1.The overall characteristics of junior high school students' perceptual learning style: Most students tend to use auditory perceptual learning style.Followed by cooperative, kinesthetic, experiential, independent perceptual learning style. Finally, visual perceptual learning style is the least favorite style.2.Visual,experiential,independent,auditory and kinesthetic perceptual learning styles are positively correlated with the total score of English reading comprehension,as well as the reading score of different question types.3.Visual,experiential,and independent perceptual learning styles have a corresponding positive predictive effect on the total score of English reading and the score of choosing one of four questions.Independent, kinesthetic, and auditory perceptual learning styles have a corresponding positive predictive effect on English task-based reading scores.
