A Study On The Adverbs Of Beijing Dialect In A Dream Of Red Mansions

Adverbs are a complicated part of speech in Chinese,which is not only reflected in its large number and variety.At the same time,there is still no systematic and definite result in the academic circles to sort out and judge and classify their internal sub-categories.Therefore,the study of dialect adverbs is a sub-category in the study of Chinese adverbs.In this paper,we combine the "three planes" grammar theory,lexicalization,grammaticalization and cognitive linguistics related theories with the synchronic plane and diachronic evolution in chinese studies,not only to classify the selected adverbs of beijing dialect,but also to clarify their evolution path and motivation from the diachronic point of view,and to summarize the relevant laws.The full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the existing research results of Beijing dialect adverbs and the related research results of Beijing dialect words in A Dream of Red Mansions.At the same time explain the relevant linguistic theories and explains the research object,significance,research method and version selection of corpus.In the second chapter,we define the words and expressions of Beijing dialect,follow the classification criteria of syntactic function and distribution,and take into account the semantic principle,select 20 adverbs of Beijing dialect and classify them into six categories:degree adverb,time adverb,range adverb,frequency adverb,mood adverb and emotion adverb.In the third chapter,the three representative adverbs of Beijing dialect"Dengshi" "Yizhun" "Suishou" are selected,and their diachronic evolution process and grammaticalization motivation are investigated to clarify the function process of different kinds of notional words.The fourth chapter,the conclusion of the rest of the paper,we summarize the content of the full text,and put forward some of their own thinking.By describing the synchronic plane and diachronic evolution of adverbs in Beijing dialect in A Dream of Red Mansions,and combining with the relevant linguistic research theories,we can draw the following conclusions:From the perspective of synchronicity,Features are as follows:first,in terms of the number of syllables,The disyllabic and polysyllabic adverbs account for 86.4%and monosyllabic adverbs account for 13.6%,which is consistent with the disyllabic tendency of Chinese adverbs;Second,in the adverb formation time,Beijing dialect adverb inheritance is greater than innovation,is a system with different time layers;Third,Beijing dialect has a large number of emotional adverbs,there are five types,with a strong subjective color and highlight the function of information focus.From the diachronic point of view.The grammaticalization is characterized by:first,the process of grammaticalization is often accompanied by the occurrence of lexicalization;second,the lexical meaning of notional words is the basic semantics of adverbs after virtualization;third,the relationship between different causes of grammaticalization is not independent,but interdependent.
