Adult Attachment And Relationship Satisfaction

In recent years,the divorce rate of Chinese people is getting higher and higher.How to improve individual marital satisfaction,researchers have conducted a lot of research。Among the many factors that influence marital relationship satisfaction,intimate relationship satisfaction plays a very important role。Intimate relationship is the most important relationship one has experienced in one’s life development,and pleasant and beautiful intimate relationship is an important source of marital satisfaction and happiness.This study studied which factors would affect the satisfaction of intimate relationship,and finally provided a theoretical basis for the improvement of marital satisfaction。Some studies have shown that the emotional regulation method selected by an individual’s attachment tendency has an important influence on the satisfaction of intimate relationship。Scholars at home and abroad have paid great attention to the research on adult attachment and intimate relationship satisfaction,and have achieved fruitful results.However,the research on the relationship between the emotional regulation of adult attachment and the sense of power and intimate relationship satisfaction is not comprehensive,which requires further in-depth study。High relationship satisfaction is conducive to promoting the stability and harmony of marriage and laying the foundation for the healthy and happy growth of children.Therefore,it is very important to explore the relationship between adult attachment and relationship satisfaction。In this study,600 married people in kaifeng city and xuchang city of zhengzhou were randomly selected for a questionnaire survey.The measurement tools used were: intimate relationship experience scale(ECR),relational power scale(SPS),emotional regulation strategy questionnaire(EQR)and intimate relationship satisfaction questionnaire(QRI),both of which had high reliability and validity。In this study,we studied the mechanism and the relationship among the variables in the relationship between adult attachment and intimate relationship satisfaction This research based on adult attachment theory,combining previous research on intimate relationship satisfaction,to explore the adult attachment,power,emotion regulation and relationship satisfaction between several factors influence each other,and emotion regulation and power play a role in it,as to provide theoretical basis for improving adult intimate relationship satisfaction.(1)there are significant gender differences in adult attachment,expression inhibition,sense of power and satisfaction with intimate relationships;Adult attachment,sense of power,and satisfaction with intimate relationship differ significantly in age.Adult attachment,emotional regulation strategies,sense of power and relationship satisfaction varied significantly in age of marriage(2)attachment anxiety attachment avoidance has a significant negative predictive effect on relationship satisfaction;Attachment avoidance has a significant negative predictive effect on cognitive reappraisal,while attachment anxiety has a significant positive predictive effect on inhibition of expression.Cognitive reappraisal has a significant positive predictive effect on intimate relationship satisfaction,expression inhibition has a significant negative predictive effect on intimate relationship satisfaction,and decision-making dominance relationship control has a positive predictive effect on intimate relationship satisfaction(3)the higher the attachment avoidance level,the more likely to use the expression inhibition strategy;on the contrary,the lower the attachment avoidance level,the better to use the cognitive reappraisal strategy;The score of relational sense of control has no influence on the selection of emotion regulation strategies,while the score of decision dominance has no influence on the selection of emotion regulation strategies.(4)cognitive reappraisal plays an intermediary role between attachment avoidance and relationship satisfaction;Decision dominance moderates the relationship between cognitive reappraisal and relationship satisfaction.(5)decision dominance plays a moderating role in the second half of attachment avoidance cognition reappraisal of relationship satisfaction,which constitutes a moderating mediation model.
