A Comparative Study Of Heaven And Earth Music Used In Sacrifice In Liao,Song And Jin Dynasties

The Chinese nation has always been known as an ancient civilization,the state of etiquette,so in ancient China the etiquette is very important,the ancients developed a series of detailed protocols.In ancient times,the most important thing for rulers is the sacrifice to heaven and earth.Taking the three dynasties of Liao,Song and Jin as the time nodes,this paper finds out the characteristics of the three dynasties of Liao,Song and Jin in the use of music for the sacrifice to heaven and earth.This paper compares the use of music for the sacrifice to heaven and earth in the three generations,and finally analyzes the reasons for the similarities and differences of the music used for the sacrifice to heaven and earth among Liao,Song and Jin.This paper is divided into three chapters,which respectively discuss the preparation,procedure and content of music for the sacrifice to heaven and earth in Liao,Song and Jin.In the first chapter,this paper points out that the music preparation in the early days of the Liao dynasty was made by the khitan minstrel.In the Song dynasty,the music preparation in the early stage of the sacrifice to heaven and earth was a form of full participation,from the emperor up to the musicians are offering sacrifices to heaven and earth with music for the careful deployment.In the Jin dynasty,the preparation of music in the early stage of the sacrifices to heaven and earth was mostly made by officials in accordance with the rites of the Tang and Song dynasties.In the second chapter,this paper compares the rites of sacrifice to the mountain in Liao dynasty and the rites of the suburbs in Song and Jin dynasties,this paper points out that the three generations all attach great importance to the rites,so it is reflected in the procedures of using music.The Song dynasty followed the procedure of using music in ancient rites,while the Jin dynasty completely followed the procedure of using music in the Han dynasty.The Liao dynasty was special in that the Liao dynasty using the procedure of combining "fan" and "han".In the third chapter,this paper is divided into four aspects: music official,music dance,music movement and musical instrument.It is pointed out that the three generations have the inherited and developing relationship with the previous generation.Whether it is music official,music dance,music movement or musical instruments.The Liao and Jin dynasties,as the ruling regimes of the minority,also retained the content of music used by the Han people.The Jin dynasty comprehensively inherited and used the content of music used by the central plains,while the Liao dynasty inherited part of the content of music used by the central plains and discarded part of it.
