In teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the relationship between culture and language has attracted more and more attention from academia.Chinese traditional festival custom culture has a long cultural history,which covers many aspects of people's life,material custom culture,as well as spiritual and cultural connotations that have lasted for a long time and deepened the blood of Chinese people.Developing Chinese traditional festival custom culture as a teaching resource of Chinese as a foreign language not only enriches the interest of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,but also serves as a window to display Chinese culture and promote the spread of Chinese culture.The article is divided into five chapters.Chapter one defines the festival customs and culture,introduces the four traditional festival customs,points out the significance and purpose of the article,summarizes the current academic research status of traditional festival customs and culture,and introduces the research methods of the article.Chapter two,taking phonetics,vocabulary,Chinese characters and grammar as examples,elaborates the auxiliary role of festival customs and culture in teaching.From the three aspects of teaching materials,teachers and students,chapter three analyses the current situation of the application of festival custom culture in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.According to the survey results,chapter four puts forward teaching suggestions and strategies.Chapter five,combined with festival customs and culture,designs teaching cases of TCFL from four aspects:phonetics,vocabulary,Chinese characters and grammar.Chapter six summarizes the results of this study.The paper holds that festival custom culture,as a teaching resource that can be emphatically developed,should be paid attention to from the aspects of textbooks,teachers,students and Confucius Institute.Through the improvement of textbook compilation,the improvement of teachers'teaching attitude and teaching skills,the change of students'attitudes and the help of Confucius Institute,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and the traditional Chinese Festival style should be improved.The development of popular culture will go up to a higher level.
