In teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL),Chinese character teaching is not only the important part,but also the difficulty of teaching research and practice.Under the upsurge of learning Chinese by a large number of foreigners in now days,how to develop the teaching of Chinese characters as a foreign language,and improve the teaching quality of Chinese characters,that became the focus of every scholar of Chinese as a foreign language.Under the influence of"character" by the linguistic base theory and component teaching theory,this paper has selected"heart" as the common component for entry point,through the method of component teaching,in order to lower the study difficulties in learning Chinese characters for the foreign students,that simplify the complexity,easy the difficulty,in order to improve the efficiency of students' literacy.The main part of this paper are divided into 4 chapters,and the contents of each part are summarized as follows:The first part:the statistics of characters with the root of "heart" in the "The Outline of HSK Vocabulary","Commonly used Chinese characters table" and "Development of Chinese".Firstly the all characters with the root of "heart" in the "The Outline of HSK Vocabulary" and"Commonly used Chinese characters table" has been statistic and analyzed,then the characters with root of "heart" is compared and analyzed separately with "Development of Chinese",and research on the rank distribution and usage frequency of the root of "heart" in textbook,finally the characters with the root of "heart" are sorted out and summarized of both three books,which the same Chinese characters as for the research object for the statistical bias.In this part,mainly is conducted investigation of the characters with root of "heart",through "The Outline of HSK Vocabulary","Commonly used Chinese characters table" and textbook,in order to grasp the key point of teaching for the characters with he root of "heart",to lay the foundation of determine the teaching design of the root of "heart" latterly.The second part:The statistical bias and analysis of characters with the root of "heart" in HSK corpus.Which aimed characters with the root of "heart" from the statistic by first part as for target,that conducted exhaustive statistical bias,divided into three aspects such as strokes,component and the whole characters for mid-high level foreign students,and combined with the bias cases of students to subdivided downward,finally the analysis of statistical bias which combined with traits of Chinese character itself,students' own motivation,teacher's teaching strategy and textbook compilation,further explored the common reasons of three types of bias occurred mostly.The third part:the questionnaires for the foreign students of the characters with the root of"heart".Which took the objects of mid-high level foreign students from overseas students college of Yangzhou university,and launched questionnaire with the contents of characters with the root of "heart" by selection of bias easily.This paper aimed on the collection of various of problems in learning characters with the root of "heart",to reflect on the teaching practice of Chinese characters,in order to amend in the teaching design.The fourth part:the teaching design of characters with the root of "heart".Inspired by the linguistic base theory and component teaching theory,aimed on the investigation and analysis of characters with the root of "heart" learning situation by mid-high level students,the teaching design of Chinese characters is mainly based on two ideas,such as the modes of special Chinese characters courses set-up and component teaching.The course contents selected by the characters with the root of "heart" which bias occurred mostly,and divided into two types:calligraphy course,and Chinese character's course.
