Research On The Art Style And Practical Application Of Xu Sangeng's Seal Script

Xu Sangeng was a calligrapher and seal Carver in the late Qing Dynasty.His calligrapher and seal Carver occupied an important position in the late Qing Dynasty.After the late Qing Dynasty,he influenced a large number of calligraphers,enjoyed a high reputation overseas and was very popular in Japan.Xu Sangeng was the representative of seal cutting in the late Qing Dynasty.His achievements in seal cutting are very high.His seal is the full embodiment of the concept that "seal cutting comes from calligraphy".At that time,people often used to describe Xu Sangeng's seal cutting with "Wudaidangfeng,Shanshanjinzhi".Because of Xu Sangeng's achievements and fame in seal cutting,later generations often neglect his achievements in calligraphy.In recent years,there are more and more researches on Xu sangeng.Many scholars focus on his achievements in seal cutting art and less on his calligraphy,which is also the original intention of the author's research and the main direction of writing graduation thesis.Xu Sangeng's five calligraphy styles are excellent,and his seal script is the highest achievement of calligraphy.It is because of his superb seal cutting skills that his seal cutting has achieved success.His concept of "calligraphy is integrated into seal cutting and seal cutting comes from calligraphy" is the best embodiment of seal emerging from seal cutting,so it is particularly necessary to study seal writing in Xu Sangeng's calligraphy.This paper takes Xu Sangeng's seal art as the research object,takes the era environment as the background,combines with his seal cutting,analyzes the learning source of seal art,probes into Xu Sangeng's seal art's self style and calligraphy view,and uses the Enlightenment of Xu Sangeng's seal art research in graduation creation practice to talk about the process and perception of graduation creation.
