Social networking sites(SNSs)have been developing so rapidly, drawing an ever-increasing number of users that before anyone can realize,SNSs have penetrated into everyone's daily life, shaping a never-seen-before life style where SNSs become indispensable.Yet with it also comes the problems of adolescents, who suffer from psychological distress and physical discomfort due to prolonged and intense use of SNSs and weakness in resisting the obsession with SNSs.Such problematic behavior is largely related with personality factor, emotional factor and socio-psychological motivation factor.Whereas these people with Type D personality often experience negative emotions across varied time periods and contexts, and worse still, they tend to suppress their emotion expression. With regard to this,a chained mediation model was established in this study, trying to cast a light on whether Type D personality is a crucial predictor for problematic SNSs use,and analyze the agent role played by emotional reactivity and social anxiety in the relationship between Type D personality and problematic SNSs use.How much the mental health education courses can intervene the adolescent's problematic SNSs use was also explored. Two studies have been performed. In the first study,645 junior high school students in Wuhan City were surveyed in terms of adolescent Type D personality, emotional reactivity, social anxiety, and problematic SNSs use, using forms including Type D Personality Scale,Emotional Reactivity Scale,Social Anxiety Scale, and Problematic SNSs Use Scale.Study results indicate that 1)there is a positive correlation between"Type D personality, emotional reactivity, social anxiety" and problematic SNSs use;2)Type D personality contributes a significant role in predicting problematic SNSs use;3)emotional reactivity and social anxiety play as agents between Type D personality and problematic SNSs use;4)such agent role played by emotional reactivity and social anxiety is of chained mode. The second study was an influence mechanism study, where mental health education course intervention was carried out to 84 junior high school students to under its effect on social anxiety and problematic SNSs use.The study showed a certain degree of alleviation, indicating that such intervention is helpful.By understanding how Type D personality affect junior high school students'problematic SNSs use,and exploring the effectiveness of psychological health education course intervention, this study lays a basis for mental health education of junior high school students.
