The Study Of Yi Sheng Characters In Shuo Wen Jie Zi

Xu Shen's Shuo Wen Jie Zi is one of the most outstanding works in the history of Chinese linguistics and it has a profound influence on the development of Chinese philology.In this paper,in order to explain the various aspects of Yi Sheng Characters,the author studies the number,style and content of the Yi Sheng Characters,and analyze the ideogram,only ideographs element,both phonetic ideographs element.This paper consists of six parts : introduction,basic problem of Yi Sheng Characters,style and content of Yi Sheng Characters,study of only ideographs element,study of both phonetic ideographs element and conclusion.The first chapter of this paper mainly elucidating the research actuality and trend of the study on Yi Sheng Characters,as well as explain the purpose,significance,and research methods of the study of Yi Sheng Characters in this article,and explain related issues such as data sources and narrative specifications.The second chapter discusses the Yi Sheng phenomenon and its essence.Comparing the structure of Yi Sheng Characters with ideographic characters and Pictophonetic characters,it is pointed out that Yi Sheng Characters are a special phenomenon.Analyze the phenomenon of adding characters to the Fen Bie Wen and Lei Zeng Zi,and explain the difference between it and the Yi Sheng phenomenon.By analyzing the phenomena and problems of the complex functions of Chinese character components and the diversified configuration patterns of Chinese characters,the nature of Yi Sheng phenomenon is discussed.The author selects Yi Sheng Characters in Shuo Wen Jie Zi as the main object of study,and compares with Shuo Wen Jie Zi Xi Zhuan and Shuo Wen Jie Zi Zhu.We can reach the following conclusions.First,there are obvious differences in quantity: 230 Yi Sheng characters in Shuo Wen Jie Zi(with new characters),213 Yi Sheng characters in Shuo Wen Jie Zi Xi Zhuan and 571 Yi Sheng Characters in Shuo Wen Jie Zi Zhu.The second is to find out the differences of the Yi Sheng Characters in the three versions.Finally,the main reasons for the differences in the different versions are examined.The fourth chapter introduces the study of only ideographs element.Only the meaning of the ideogram,or agree with the whole word,or the superordinate meaning of the whole word.83 of the only ideographic elementare the "Shuo Wen" radical,and 178 are also used in the summary.The analysis of the number of returned and commanded words reveals thatonly the ideograms are powerful,clear,and concentrated,and are closely related to the degree of their classification.The fifth chapter introduces the study of phonetic element.From the analysis of its attribution,the ideographic function of ideograms is weaker than that of ideograms,which shows that the ideograms become the radicals of Yi Sheng Characters.Analyze the sound display function and the source display function of the phonetic symbol.It is pointed out that since the sound-indicating function is a derivative function of the source-indicating function,the source-indicating function is the most important function of phonological signification,and it is analyzed from the source meaning as the original meaning of the phonetic signification,the extended meaning,and the false borrowing.In addition,there are differences in quantity content,part and function between ideogram and phoneme,and find out the reason of it.The sixth chapter is conclusion,to summarize the main conclusions in the text and sums up the shortfall.
