Li Bihua,a well-known writer in Hong Kong,has been widely praised for her legendary and outrageous style of writing.This article focuses on Li Bihua's folk writing,and attempts to explore the traditional Chinese feelings and identity of Hong Kong people from the folk elements of her works.Besides the introduction and conclusion,the full text is mainly divided into four chapters:The introduction mainly introduces the general situation of Li Bihua's works,reviews the current research status of Li Bihua's works at home and abroad,and introduces the significance of the topic selection,research methods,research content,and innovation.The main part is divided into four chapters:The first chapter discusses the connection between the folk ghost culture in Rouge and urban love novels,combing the motif inheritance of romance between humans and ghosts,as well the modern narrative techniques in the novel.The second chapter expounds the rewriting of the hero story of Farewell My Concubine,traces the narrative evolution of the story and discusses how the folk elements have been creatively used in the evolution of the origin story.The third chapter discusses how The Green Snake,as a variant of the folklore The White Snake,deconstructs the image of traditional folk figures and explores humanity in conjunction with the times.Furthermore,it discusses how Li Bihua made the figures full and solid on the basis of subverting tradition.The fourth chapter explains Li Bihua and Hong Kong literature.This article manages to observe the writer in the changing times and looks at the city in the writer's folk writing.This article selects three novels that best represent Li Bihua's literary creations,and summarizes the author's folk writings in urban novels from three aspects:"love between human and ghost",heroic story and folklore,then researches the identity belonging from the perspective of colonial culture.In the concluding part,the author makes additions and conclusions:In Hong Kong where consumerism prevails,the inner city spirit of Hong Kong influences the writer's creation from beginning to end,and folk writing is an important part of it.As a perspective that hasn't received systematic attention,Li Bihua's and Hong Kong literature are worthy of further exploration,which is of great benefit to the development of both writer's literature and folk culture.
