Taoist Ideal Personality And Modern Personality Shaping Enlightenment

The report at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China said,we must uphold Marxism,firm up and further build the ideal of Communism and a shared ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and nurture and practice core socialist values,while making continued and greater efforts to maintain the initiative and ensure we have our say in the ideology.We must promote creative evolution and development of fine traditional Chinese culture,see our revolutionary culture remains alive and strong,and develop an advanced socialist culture.We should cherish our cultural roots,draw on other cultures,and be forward-thinking.We should do more to foster a Chinese spirit,Chinese values,and Chinese strength to provide a source of cultural and moral guidance for our people.Due to the social transformation period,the fast pace of life and the influence of western utilitarianism,various problems that appear in today's society,such as work pressure,anxiety caused by desire,etc.,make people get into a dilemma and cannot extricate themselves.In order to solve all kinds of problems in modern society,under the guidance of marxist theory,the author absorbs and uses the ideal personality of Taoism reasonably,including using socialist core values to resist the wrong trend of thought,helping people establish positive thoughts,correct values and behavior orientation,etc.The paper explores the ideal personality of Confucianism and other schools,and found out their defects,and compensated with the ideal personality of Taoism.At the same time,in this paper,it also finds out the shortcomings of the ideal personality of Taoism.Many personality shaping inspirations have been obtained from the ideal personality of Taoism,such as the principle of moderation,and the interdependence of good and evil,which can be used to ease or even eliminate various troubles that people now encounter.Of course,it is also inspired by the shortcomings of Taoism ideal personality.By introducing the views and interpretations of Taoist ideal personality on conduct oneself,as well as the basic characteristics of "sage" thought,it finally elaborate the guiding significance of Taoist ideal personality thought on the overall development of personality and the practical significance of building a harmonious society.
