Research On The Decorative Art Of Homespun In Chongming

Chongming Island is the alluvial island of the Yangtze River Delta in China,known as the "gateway of the Yangtze River,Yingzhou in the East China Sea".Due to the special formation of the island,the soil on the island is very fertile and rich in nutrients,which also contributed to the development of the local textile industry.Homespun is a general designation of pure cotton fabrics woven by hand,and the main research object of this paper is Chongming local yarn dyed homespun.From the end of Yuan Dynasty to the beginning of Ming Dynasty,The weaving technology of Chongming geotextile has been listed as the intangible cultural heritage,and the research on its patterns is the best protection and inheritance of Chongming colored woven geotextile.This topic takes Chongming geotextile as the research object,through the collection of relevant literature,field research,experimental design and other methods,to conduct in-depth research on the geotextile decoration.During the research period,the author went to Chongming Qianwei village,Yongchun village,Nantong Textile Museum to collect a large number of geotextile objects,all of which are first-hand picture materials,with high authenticity.The article is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is about the historical development of Chongming Island and Chongming local cloth.The second part is about the design of Chongming local cloth,from the perspective of technology,modeling,color and so on.The third part is about the application and typical cases of local cloth design The fourth part is the design practice part,which introduces the process of the author's re design and weaving.Through the research and innovative design of the earth cloth decoration,the author aims to make the earth cloth decoration of Chongming glow new today.
