English grammar plays a very important role in high school English learning.It directly affects the coordinated development of students' English language skills in listening,speaking,reading and writing,and even affects the English scores of each student.In grammar teaching,English teachers should not only cultivate students' ability to use and summarize grammar rules,but also cultivate students' awareness of using grammar learning strategies.Effective use of grammar learning strategies can help students improve their learning effects,form habits and develop their abilities.Therefore,this thesis will investigate the use of English grammar learning strategies by a high school student in Yan'an to clarify the correlation between English grammar learning strategies and grammar scores of high school students.Under the guidance of cognitive learning theory and constructivist learning theory,this thesis surveyed 190 senior high school students in Yan'an City,using three methods(questionnaire survey method,interview method and SPSS analysis method)to analyze the grammar of high school students and investigate the use of learning strategies.This thesis mainly solves the following questions:(1)What is the general use status of high school students' English grammar learning strategies?(2)Is there a significant difference in the use of grammatical strategies between high and low group students?(3)Is there a correlation between high school students' English grammar learning strategies and grammar scores? If so,what kind of relevance? This study used SPSS 21.0 to perform descriptive statistical analysis of grammar learning strategies,independent sample T test and correlation analysis on the results of questionnaire survey and grammar test.The study found that the overall awareness of high school students using grammar learning strategies is not strong,there is a extremely weak correlation between high school students' English grammar learning strategies and grammar scores.Based on the researchpurpose and research findings,the following suggestions are specifically proposed to arouse teachers and students' attention to English grammar learning strategies.(1)Actively mobilize metacognitive strategies;(2)Fully use cognitive strategies;(3)Cultivate communicative strategies step by step;(4)Activate emotional strategies repeatedly.Finally,it is hoped that in future research,researchers will increase the number of samples and use different research tools to study the correlation between the English grammar score and other factors in order to find new discoveries.
