Research On The Decline Of Traditional Industries In Northeast China In Modern Times

After the Opium War,important social transformation took place in China.China's politics,economy,culture,society and other aspects began to change.Traditional industries,as an important part of China's modern social and economic development,also changed.With the invasion of capitalist goods by Western aggressors and the introduction of advanced western industrial civilization,Chinese traditional industries are gradually declining under unprecedented impact.In 1858,the Qing government signed the Treaty of Tianjin with Britain,opened Yingkou(i.e.Niuzhuang)as a trading port,the western capitalist goods dumped a lot on the Northeast market,and the local goods in the Northeast suffered a huge impact.With the introduction of western industrial civilization,the market structure,commodity sales,labor demand and people's living needs in the Northeast changed,and most of the traditional industries Without improvement,it can't adapt to the needs of social development.A small number of traditional industries are transforming into emerging industries by adapting to the changes of social development and learning from the advanced western production and life style and new ideas.It is of great significance for us to study the development and changes of the decline of traditional industries in the Northeast in modern times.This paper is mainly composed of five parts,as follows:The first part briefly introduces the background of the decline of the traditional industries in Northeast China after the opening of Yingkou(Niuzhuang)as a trading port: first,after the signing of the unequal treaty,a large number of imports from the West had an impact on the traditional commodities,breaking the original economic barriers in Northeast China;second,the traditional production and life styles in the Northeast changed,and the limitations of the traditional industries themselves could not adapt to the modern times Social development.The second part combs the decline of traditional handicraft industry in Northeast China,and selects typical traditional handicraft industry such as textile industry,dyeing industry,oil industry,flour industry and paper sheet industry as the main content.Under the current situation of foreign goods flooding the Northeast market,the goods made by traditional handicraft industry have lost people's love,and people are more inclined to buy foreign goods with low price,complete variety and high quality.Most of the handicraft workshops declined and disappeared.Only a small number of them introduced advanced western technology,which changed from the old handicraft technology to modern large machinery production,improved production efficiency,high output and low cost,and developed into modern handicraft industry.The third part mainly combs the decline and change of traditional post and delivery industry,mainly including the development and change of post,literary and newspaper Bureau and civil information bureau.With the opening of new means of transportation and the introduction of modern postal system,modern post offices were set up,and the traditional post delivery methods of horse riding and personnel delivery gradually disappeared.New delivery methods such as train delivery and automobile delivery appeared,and their organization system,mailing method,mailing scope,mailing tools and cost management were improved.Since then,the traditional post delivery industry has declined and disappeared,Modern postal industry developed gradually.The fourth part focuses on the decline of the traditional private schools in Northeast China.With the influence of western new civilization education and new schools,private schools are gradually eliminated due to the unstable number of teachers and students,the irregular teaching content and methods,the lax teaching organization system and other factors.More and more students enter the schools or private schools to study,and private schools gradually disappear.The fifth part mainly introduces the decline of traditional Qianzhuang industry in Northeast China.As an important traditional credit institution in Chinese society,bank plays an important role in the storage,exchange and exchange of money people need for their daily life.With the introduction of the western advanced financial system and the establishment of new banks,the function of banks is particularly narrow,unable to compete with the new banks gradually decline,and most of the banks fail.A small number of banks developed into modern banks in the form of merger and reorganization,adopting new bank management system,business function and market management,etc.,and moving forward to modern banking industry.Through the study of the decline of the traditional industries in the Northeast in modern times,we can see that after the Opium War,under the invasion of western capitalism,foreign goods occupied the main market in the northeast and impacted the traditional commodities.With the introduction of western advanced industrial civilization,education ideas,various management systems,transportation facilities,etc.,the traditional industries in the Northeast gradually declined.Whether external factors or internal reasons,they all come down to the problems that traditional industries can't adapt to the needs of modern social development.Those that don't adapt will be eliminated by the times.Those that adapt to and reform and develop will gradually progress along the trend of historical development.
