The Study Of Emerging Reduplicated Monosyllabic Adjectives

This paper takes monosyllabic adjectives as the research object,combs the monosyllabic adjective overlapping in modern chinese,analyzes the limiting conditions that affect monosyllabic adjective overlap from grammatical,semantic and pragmatic perspectives,and focuses on the motivation of the emerging overlapping ability evolution of monosyllabic adjectives.Finally,the case of "ruoruo" is analyzed in detail,which enriches the concrete research on the new monosyllabic adjective overlap.In the first chapter,we expound and introduce the origin,research object,research status,research method,corpus source and so on.In the second chapter,we comb the overlapping distribution of monosyllabic adjectives and analyze the overlapping arguments of these words.First of all,we divide all the monosyllabic adjectives that are sorted out in modern Chinese into three categories: " typically overlapping monosyllabic adjectives " and " non-overlapping monosyllabic adjectives " and " emerging monosyllabic adjectives ".Then we analyze the overlapping reasoning of these words from the three angles of grammar,semantics and pragmatics respectively.The grammatical factors are mainly analyzed from the angle of part of speech and the strength of predicate,and the semantic factors are mainly divided from the angle of color meaning,variable degree of quantity,visualization of word meaning and self-control of subject.The pragmatic factors are mainly analyzed from two aspects: frequency of use and pragmatic psychology.In the third chapter,we explore the emerging evolution motivation of overlapping monosyllabic syllables.For the parts of monosyllabic adjectives that have not been overlapping in the past but have evolved overlapping usages in today’s verbal communication,we mainly explore the reasons for the change of their usages from the aspects of language interior and pragmatic rhetoric.In the fourth chapter,a case study of the newly overlapping monosyllabic adjectives is carried out,the semantics and characteristics of the newly emerging "ruoruo" are analyzed,the causes of "ruoruo" popularity are analyzed from the aspects of Chinese expression demand,semantic expression vacancy and pragmatic reasons,and the mechanism of "ruoruo" generation is also analyzed from the perspective of metaphor and analogy.Finally,this paper summarizes the main ideas and shortcomings of this paper in the conclusion section.
