The negative form of Chinese possible complement is one of the mostly characteristic forms in the Chinese possible complement system,which is often used in daily life.For Indonesian learners,they are having difficulty using the Chinese language during the acquisition process as it is their second language.Chinese and Indonesian sentence structures have different grammatical rules.In Indonesian language,the negative form of Chinese possible complement is not used or practiced.Due to this,it is very difficult for Indonesian learners to learn the negative form of Chinese possible complement,and they encounter many grammatical errors.Furthermore,when the Indonesian speaker is expressing themself using the negative form of complement,they cannot clearly express its correct meaning.Therefore,misunderstanding or poor sentence structure often occurs in communication.Through the investigation,analysis and research of The negative form of Chinese possible complement,it is found that Indonesian learners are prone to misunderstanding or mistakes in using this kind of complement.There are several reasons for the misunderstanding: First,there is no the same grammatical rules using the negative form of complement in the Indonesian language when being compared to Chinese language.They often use an auxiliary verb "cannot+V" corresponding to the verb.Second,the content of the Chinese textbook used in Indonesia is not complete.Third,the teacher’s teaching mistakes and parental cooperation.Fourth,the Indonesian learners’ generalization of Chinese grammar rules.Regarding this matter,the study proposes the corresponding teaching suggestions for the types and causes of using the negative form of complement.This research is divided into four chapters.The introduction part mainly explains the scope and purpose of the research,the summary of the research status and the research methods.The second chapter firstly introduces the introduction of the structural form of Indonesian language,then the similarities and differences of Chinese language and Indonesian language using the negative form of complement based on the grammatical structure,linguistic meaning and pragmatic function.The third chapter is the analysis of Indonesian learners using the negative form of complement and the investigation result on the type and causes of errors using the negative form of complement.The fourth chapter starts from the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,and gives some suggestions in teaching the negative form of complement for Indonesian learners.Finally,makes the conclusions of the above research results.
