Research Analysis On New Generation Of Chinese-indonesian In Their Levels Of Knowing And Interest In Chinese Culture

There are quite a number of Chinese who live in Indonesia.There was a time when the Indonesian government prohibited all things related to Chinese culture to be promoted within the country.As the result of that,nowadays many young IndonesianChinese do not know much about their origins.This thesis is the observation result of whether or not they are still interested in knowing Chinese cultures.Due to the large scope of Chinese culture,this article selects the Chinese culture that is now deeply impressed in Indonesia,such as Chinese Language(Mandarin and Dialect),Chinese philosophy and cultural relics,Chinese cities,Chinese TV movies,TV dramas and entertainment programs.I hope that from these surveys,We can learn more about which Chinese cultures that young Indonesian-Chinese are aware of and interested in and also propose relevant suggestions and strategies in order to improve the Chinese culture in Indonesia.Asan Indonesian-Chinese,I hope this thesis can revive and improve the Indonesian-Chinese knowledge and interest on their original cultures,and also to be passed down to the next generations.This thesis has the following five parts:The first chapter,the introduction is the summary of the purpose and significance of the research,the existing research summary,research objects and research methods.The second chapter,mainly discusses the history of the new generation of Indonesian-Chinese,including Chinese education,Chinese associations and media,and Chinese residents.The third chapter,analyzes the cognition and interest of the new generation of Chinese in Indonesia on Chinese culture based on the statistical results obtained from the questionnaire.The Chinese culture classification surveyed in this thesis consists of Chinese traditional culture(Chinese Mandarin and dialect,Chinese festival,Chinese philosophy,Chinese cultural relics)and contemporary Chinese culture(Chinese cities,Chinese TV movies,TV dramas and entertainment programs).The fourth chapter puts forward suggestions and strategies to improve the cognition and interest of the new generation of Indonesian Chinese in Chinese culture.
