A Study On The Creation Of Chinese Character Calligraphy By The Style Of Nvshu's Calligraphy

Nvshu's calligraphy,created by women from Jiangyong,is the only gender script in the world.Nvshu's calligraphy is the art of writing Nvshu,which is accompanied by the emergence of Nvshu and first practiced among the local women from Jiangyong.It was not until the 1980 s that Nvshu was discovered by scholars from other places that this folk calligraphy art gradually became known to the public.But nowadays,fewer and fewer people use Nvshu,and the artistic value of Nvshu's calligraphy is on the verge of being lost before it can be excavated.In recent years,even if people have gradually started to realize the importance of protecting this traditional art and many people have begun to learn Nvshu's calligraphy,it is not enough to rely on Nvshu inheritors and Nvshu's calligraphy enthusiasts to promote Nvshu's calligraphy.For the vast majority of people,Nvshu's calligraphy is difficult to identify,which means that Nvshu's calligraphy cannot be integrated into life and it is difficult to spread widely.Therefore,the study of Nvshu's calligraphy should not be superficial.Finding out its features,digging out its aesthetic value and cultural value,and extracting some elements into Chinese character calligraphy can not only enrich Chinese character calligraphy,but also make Nvshu's calligraphy better inheritance.This paper firstly studies the original ecological Nvshu's calligraphy and the recreated Nvshu's calligraphy vertically,and compares Nvshu's calligraphers and their works in these two periods.It is found that the original ecological Nvshu's calligraphy is mainly composed of hard pens and it is also with the same thickness of stippling and little modification,whose style is natural and simple.The recreated Nvshu's calligraphy is mainly based on soft pens and its stippling is mostly thin at the ends but thick in the middle,with strong artistry and changeable style.Secondly,the paper explores the aesthetic value and cultural value of Nvshu's calligraphy.It is found that Nvshu's calligraphy has unique formal beauty and inner beauty,whose shape undertakes the style of the ancient Chu State and Yue State.Nvshu's calligraphy works contain folk culture and female emotion.Then the paper compares Nvshu's calligraphy with Chinese character calligraphy,trying to find out their similarities and differences in stippling,glyph,structure,method,style,and content.After comparison,it is found that Nvshu's calligraphy has many similarities with Chinese character calligraphy.But the rhomboid shape,unique stippling and feminine writing style of Nvshu's calligraphy make it different from Chinese character calligraphy at the same time.Also,it analyzes the feasibility and creation theory of using the style of Nvshu's calligraphy to create Chinese character calligraphy.Then,the corresponding strokes of Chinese characters and Nvshu are sorted out.Taking that as a reference,calligraphy practice is carried out under the guidance of theory,and 677 new fonts are created.Finally,the created new fonts will be applied.
