Writing ability is the ability of written expression and information transmission.It is also widely recognized as an important competence for people to learn or communicate with others.Nowadays,it plays an increasingly important role as an effective way for people to contact with each other due to the process of globalization.However,due to the limitation of teaching time,class size and other conditions in the actual writing class,teachers have to follow the traditional results-based teaching mode in order to complete the teaching task.The class is dominated by teachers' pure knowledge teaching,ignoring the cultivation of students' ability,humanistic emotion and other factors,which is difficult to stimulate students' enthusiasm(Bound,1981).So the teaching efficiency is very low,and students' overall English writing ability is improved slowly.This kind of curriculum does not accord with the ultimate goal that teaching should focus on cultivating students' Core Competence in the curriculum reform of basic education.Along with the continuous reform of education,junior high school English teaching to cultivate students' Core Competence,increasingly become a focus.Core Competence refers to the necessary character and key ability gradually formed by students to adapt to the needs of personal and social development in the process of receiving education(Brookes & Grundy,2000).It covers some important aspects,such as language ability,learning ability,cultural awareness,thinking quality.English itself as a language curriculum,and writing as an important link in English teaching is an effective way to cultivate students' Core Competence.Therefore,aiming at the practical problems in writing teaching,such as teachers' pure knowledge teaching,ignoring the cultivation of students' ability,humanistic emotion and thinking quality,difficult to mobilize students' learning enthusiasm and low teaching efficiency,this paper combines the teaching philosophy of Process and Genre Approach with the network evaluation system,and establishes an interactive writing mode.The main steps are information input stage,including setting a situation and demonstrationanalysis.The second step is information output stage,including imitation,completion of first draft.The third step is evaluation stage,including peer's editing,first draft revision,teacher's evaluation,second draft and network evaluation.The last part is to share with the whole class and form a final draft.This paper will prove the effectiveness of the Interactive Writing Mode in improving students' writing level through experiments which focuses on the following issues:(1)Whether the Interactive Writing Mode is more helpful to improve students' revision consciousness and enhance students' sense of cooperation ?(2)Whether the Interactive Writing Mode can help students improve their English writing more effectively when comparing with the traditional Product Writing Approach?(3)Whether the revision strategy of peer evaluation in writing help to improve students' English writing ability?(4)Whether the network evaluation system can stimulate students' interest in revision?Therefore,the author randomly selects two classes from the junior high school.Then set one of them as the experimental class to carry out the writing experiment of Interactive Writing Mode and the other as the control class,which adopts the traditional Product Writing Approach.The whole experiment lasts for one semester.According to the results of the pre-test,there is no essential difference in English learning ability between the two classes before the experiment,and their cognitive levels are basically the same.In the course of the experiment,the control class adopts the traditional Product Writing Approach,while the experimental class adopts the Interactive Writing Mode.In the course of the experiment,the writing pre-test,post-test and questionnaire survey were used,and the students' pre-test and post-test scores were analyzed by SPSS statistical software.The experimental results show that under the interactive writing teaching mode,students' writing interest,writing ability,revision consciousness and cooperation consciousness are enhanced.Students' English Core Competence has also improved.Therefore,the interactive writing teaching mode is one of the effective ways to improve the current English writing teaching in junior high school,and it is a teaching method worthy of English teachers to try.
