Robert Schumann(1810--1856 A.D.)was a great 19 th century German composer,pianist,and music critic."Forest scene" is his last set of piano divertimento in his later years.The divertimenet consists of nine sketches depicting different figures,which show his unique romantic style.This paper takes schumann's music and performance analysis of forest scene as the main research direction,and analyzes the background,characteristics and performance methods of music creation.Firstly,the author introduces schumann's life introduction,the period and content of piano divertimento and the background of schumann's life and the characteristics of piano divertimento.Then,it analyzes and summarizes the nine pieces of the diverging song from the aspects of music layout,literary image,genre of music form and characteristics of each element of music.In the end,the author summarizes the performance of the divertimendo in combination with his own performance practice and years of learning experience,and makes a detailed analysis of the key points and difficulties of performance(singing quality of melody,complexity of rhythm,comparison and connection of multiple parts)and music emotion of overall grasp of the divertimendo.Through the analysis of schumann's piano divertimento,I hope to provide a reference for the players to interpret this work and grasp schumann's romantic style.
